The intention of these races are to look stock, sound stock and run as fast as possible. Just the way the cars did out of the factory. It is also the intent of the organizers to promote communication and interest amongst muscle car enthusiast while having of great day. Eligible cars are from muscle cars built from 1960 - 1974. With Original OEM Engines. If you have a 502 cubic inch chevy crate motor, you are ineligible. For that matter if you have ANY manufacturer's engine produced after 1974 you are ineligible. This race is for factory produced muscle cars and engines from the period 1960 - 1974 ONLY. This race is for all muscle car enthusiasts, from factory correct show car owners who wanna have a day of fun, to muscle cars that look completely stock but obviously can go a bit faster than stock. You will meet and see the best racers from around the region, and watch Chevy's battle Ford's, Mopars battling Pontiacs, AMC 's battling Olds, etc.etc. Just like they did in the 60's and earlier 70's.
